Ninc’s FIRST WORD:
A One-Day Event, Open to All Writers
Exploring New Publishing Partnership Opportunities
Thursday, October 25, 2012
What do we mean by “publishing partnerships?” Gone are the days when the only partnership that had value to an author were agents and publishing houses. While those are still in the picture, they are only part of the picture.
Welcome to the New Publishing Landscape!
In 2010, Ninc electrified the publishing world by embracing, rather than denying, that the ebook revolution had begun, a time in which authors would be in charge. As part of that acknowledgement, an all-day event was added to the regular members-only conference in which everyone was invited: writers at every level and with every publishing background, members of the traditional publishing world, and player in the new publishing reality. In 2011, this one-day event went even further—energizing and empowering every writer who attended.
Now, two years into the publishing revolution that is changing all our lives, we realize authors can’t go it completely alone. To fully realize the opportunities available, we must explore new options. This year’s all-day event is ready to tackle that with a fantastic line up.
First Word $195 includes: 4 panels, a new Q&A session, plus lunch and dinner.
Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel, in White Plains, NY. It’s only about a 30-minute train ride into Manhattan, and it is located within walking distance of several delicious restaurants and shops.
