The Novelists, Inc. conference is a unique experience that brings together multi-published, multi-genre authors who publish traditionally, independently, or both. The speakers are selected from the top echelons of the industry and the conversations rise far and above what you'll experience anywhere else. What goes on at a NINC conference?
A full day of intensive, high-level explorations of the issues, problems and challenges that writers face once they have written and sold multiple books, sometimes in many genres. Topics to be addressed include Craft, Creativity, Business, and Marketing.
First Word is open to all registered NINC members, their spouse/companions, all registered industry guests, author assistants (special programming for assistants is being considered) and non-member First Word Day Registrants.
Workshops are scheduled up to three per hour, so there’s always a topic of interest for everyone in attendance. Open to NINC members, registered Industry Guests and Author Assistants*.
This year's theme is Discovery. The conference committee intends for the theme to inform all workshop and panel topics, with the knowledge that all member attendees are experienced, career-oriented authors who seek to either maintain their success to take their careers to the next level.
*There is also a special track of workshops for Author Assistants.
Night Owl sessions are one of the staples of a NINC conference. These informally structured, round-table type discussions are Members Only and here's why: we talk about things we might not even tell our spouses, mothers or best friends…because nobody else understands writers as well as other writers.
